The School of Engineering at Gateway Polytechnic Saapade (GAPOSA) offers comprehensive academic programs leading to both the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in various core engineering disciplines. Computer Engineering

The Department of Computer Engineering trains students in the design, development, and maintenance of computer systems and embedded technologies. The program blends hardware and software knowledge to prepare graduates for careers in automation, electronics, networking, and intelligent systems.

Electrical/Electronics Engineering

This department focuses on the generation, transmission, and application of electrical energy and electronic systems. Students gain hands-on experience in circuit design, instrumentation, power systems, and control engineering to meet modern industrial and societal needs.

Mechanical Engineering

Frequently Asked Questions

Admission requirements vary slightly depending on the programme and level (ND or HND). Generally, for both ND and HND, applicants must have at least five (5) relevant O’Level credits including Mathematics, English, Physics, and two other science-related subjects. Additionally for HND applicants, a National Diploma in a relevant field, Jamb admission letter, and evidence of industrial training (SIWES) are required.

Yes. All ND and HND students are required to complete a supervised Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), which bridges academic learning with practical industry experience.

Absolutely. The School of Engineering offers flexible Part-Time programmes for working professionals or individuals who prefer weekend or evening classes. Part-Time applicants must also meet the minimum academic requirements for their chosen course.
